Our two Americorp team members are losing their positions. The federal cuts you’ve likely been reading about in the news have arrived at the doorstep of our farm.
It’s our job, through this loss and turmoil, to take care of each other. And so with your help, we’re raising the $11,550 we need to keep our team members Abby and Grayson here, working and with us.
We don’t have to tell you that these last few months have been chaotic. These and other federal funding cuts have come crashing down on our small farm. And we’re not alone. The hardships have been broad and many.
What’s guiding us through is a deep belief that when the institutions and norms around us waiver, we can lean on each other. In the months ahead, it will be up to all of us to reinforce our community–to pitch in, to find the joy in our shared work, and to build our dreams together.
