VOLUNTEER DAYS
Grow with us!
Volunteers are one of the most special parts of New Roots. Volunteer days are a chance to get outside, meet new people, learn a little about farming, and spend time helping grow food together. They bring SO much joy to the farm.
Volunteer workdays take place every Tuesday from 9 AM – 4 PM, April through November. Depending on the season, we might be harvesting vegetables, transplanting seedlings, weeding beds, or washing and bundling produce for market.
We take a break midday to share a free farm lunch together, home cooked by our team, and everyone heads home with fresh vegetables straight from the fields.
Bring water, a snack, gloves, and sun protection — and come spend the day on the farm with us!

Absolutely! Volunteer workdays run from 9 AM–4 PM, but you’re welcome to come and go as your schedule allows. Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, we’re glad to have you. Most tasks are easy to jump in and out of as needed.

Volunteer workdays happen rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather! We recommend layers, a rain jacket, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a hat. It’s very rare for a volunteer day to be cancelled, but in the event of an extreme weather alert or facility emergency, we’ll share updates on our social media.
